Ultra-Blak 404-L is a ready to use solution of EPi's oxidizing liquid formulation Ultra-Blak 404. It is used to blacken cast iron, malleable iron, and some mild low-carbon steels with a deep, rich black finish.

How to Use Ultra-Blak 404-L

Ultra-Blak 404-L is a ready to use solution.   It is recommended for installations where an automated replenishment is desired.  It is ideal for the initial charging of black oxide baths. 

 

Use Ultra-Blak 404-L to:

  • Blacken cast iron, malleable iron, and many steels
  • Achieve rich black finishes on workpieces, including all castings 
  • Work with oxidizing salts rather than liquid solutions 
  • Work with a hot-temperature blackening process
  • Blacken Metal Injection Molding (MIM) Parts

How to Use Ultra-Blak 404-L
