E-Chrome Ultra Blue is an easy-to-use, two-component, single-dip trivalent blue chromate with high corrosion resistance. It produces the bluest passivation without the common yellowing problems of other passivations.

E-Chrome Ultra-Blue meets all automotive and industrial standards, and no topcoat is needed. It can be used with automatic-feeder equipment and offers high salt spray resistance of up to 150 hours. Works well on plated zinc, diecast zinc, and galvanized zinc surfaces. Also used as a conversion finish on zinc diecast surfaces prior to powder coating and can replace a hexavalent sealer for nickel surfaces. For optimum corrosion protection, the addition of a separate component, E-Chrome Ultra Blue HP, is added at 2% by volume. pH: 1.5–2.0 (Optimum 1.8). Temperature: 65–90° F (Optimum 75° F, 24° C). Time: 1–40 seconds (optimum 20 seconds). Agitation: Air agitation may be helpful in rack situations.
