Manufacturing Growth Has Continued Through October!

October showed immense growth in the regional manufacturing indexes!

"From Milwaukee to Dallas to New York state, measures improved to multi-year highs, reflecting robust orders growth as the global economy shows some promise." (Golle, 2017)

The MNI Chicago Business Barometer has a score of 66.2--a figure the barometer hasn't seen since way back in March of 2011.

States all over the US are showing increases in various figures--from business activity, to factory indexes, to order backlogs, from Texas to Kansas to New York. In fact, the MNI Chicago index of backlogs "reached the highest level in more than 43 years…Dallas Fed's gauge of unfilled orders was the strongest since mid-2006…[and] the regional Fed bank's backlogs index was at a more than 13-year high." (Golle, 2017)
