Recently, I received an e-mail from a customer from California who uses EPi's Insta-Blak 333 to restore guns. He sent me the following e-mail:
Back in January of this year, I purchased your Insta-Blak 333 sample kit. I used it to refinish a customer’s Colt 1911 which was chambered in .38 Super and manufactured in 1960. After I stripped the old bluing off, the bare metal looked like the typical silverish colored steel seen in the picture “099.” After I did the E-Clean, E-Prep, Insta-Blak 333, and the Rust-Preventative, it turned out like the picture “121.” I also did a few parts on one of my personal firearms too.
Everything is just great and the customer was very pleased. I did the job for him in February or march and he called me the other day (07/16/12 at 1601 hours) just to compliment me on how great the finish on the pistol was!!
Thank you for making top notch products and directions even a cop/gunsmith/Navy combat medic could understand and follow with relative ease. I am looking forward to using your phosphate products for parkerizing, hot black oxide products for that classic hot-blue finish, and colored chromate products in the future to play around with colored accents on different gun parts."
Here is a picture of his finished product:
I'm glad our products are able to help people with whatever project they can think of. I am always fascinated with the new and innovative ways people are utilizing EPi's vast line of Simply Superior products!
