E-Tec 502 is a thin and slightly oily solvent and calcium-based lubricant and rust and corrosion inhibitor for ferrous and non-ferrous metals that produces 70–90 hours of salt spray.

E-Tec 502 leaves a thin, transparent film that rapidly displaces moisture faster than conventional barium-based formulas. Films are continuous, polar, and non-conductive. Will not gum under high humidity or temperature. Harmless to plastic, rubber, paints, and certain silicones. Can be applied to wet or dry metal parts for protection while in process or in storage. Meets military spec for water displacement (Mil-C-16173D, Grade 3).
