Zinc Nickel

E-Brite ZNI – A patented zinc-nickel alloy process which provides the corrosion resistance of cadmium.

The unique benefit of the E-Brite ZNI deposit is it exhibits low hydrogen embrittling characteristics, making it ideal for many hydrogen embrittlement sensitive applications.

  • E-Brite ZNI employs a highly efficient, slightly acidic electrolyte (pH 6.3).
  • E-Brite ZNI deposit contains 8-12% nickel, the balance being zinc.
  • The patented microstructure facilitates migration of elemental hydrogen during a low bake temperature cycle.
  • Non-embrittling acceptable to ASTM F519 Type I, II, III, IV.
  • Corrosion resistance of chromate converted deposits have exceeded 2600 hour salt spray ASTM B117.
  • Conforms to AMS 2417 and Boeing BAC 5637.
