Silver Plating Without Cyanide

E-Brite 50/50  A unique cyanide-free alkaline silver plating process.

E-Brite 50/50 is a revolutionary alkaline non-cyanide silver plating process that represents another innovative development from EPI.

Advantages over cyanide silver:

  • A separate strike bath is not required to plate on copper, brass and bronze as with cyanide silver.  It plates an industrial bright plate without a separate brightener additive.
  • Plates faster than cyanide
  • Adhesion superior to cyanide
  • Customer proven superior performance to other non-cyanide silver processes
  • Cost effective because it plates out of the silver anodes rather than the solution
  • Anodes do not polarize – excellent anode corrosion
  • Exceptional throwing power
  • Plates substantially faster than other processes
  • Bath stability

E-Brite 50/50 is another unique single maintenance additive process from EPI for ease of bath control.

E-Brite 50/50 is supplied as a liquid concentrate that is used at 50% by volume in water.

The liquid concentrate contains 4 oz per gallon of silver. Therefore the 50% working bath will contain 2 oz per gallon silver.  The process is plated at room temperature using silver anodes.

The solution is very effective in dissolving the anodes and only one liquid, E-Brite 50/51 electrolyte maintenance additive, has to be added to maintain the bath’s performance.
